A DAY AT CAMP EMBARK
We begin our day at 9:00 a.m. with our morning gathering and end at 4:30 p.m. We break up the hours between meals with activities, a Free Choice period, more activities, and then lastly our special camp-wide event. We have fun every day.
60-80% of our time is spent outdoors. We offer four rotations for our core programs: arts, sports, life, and STEM. We reserve the 5th period for our camp-wide activities that create unforgettable memories.
At the start of each season, campers select a workshop to develop a skill. Skill-based electives are a vital component of our program, and are taught by EXPERTS who are qualified to provide the best instruction.
SNACKS AND MEALS
We’re a nut-free camp!
Our catered lunch is supplied by a local restaurant. Meals change daily to ensure variety. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available upon request. Here are some of the things your child might eat this summer:
Rice and Chicken, brown stew chicken, chicken tenders, hamburgers, hot dogs, tacos, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, mac and cheese, subs, and more.
Our available snacks vary from fresh fruits, cereal bars, chips, and cookies.
Once a week, we enjoy a camp-wide family-style lunch where all campers and counselors eat together. All of our campers look forward to it.
FIELD TRIPS
Our field trips take place on the second and third week of a season. Safety being our #1 priority, we remain at camp the first week of a season as campers and counselors are still getting to know each other. On the 2nd and 3rd weeks, we visit places that inspire adventure, curiosity and that our campers would enjoy.
